Beware Of The Thing That Is Coming

Here is a gallery of (post-Agreement) republican graffiti in the Brandywell, including “$inn £einn”, “Remember the 14” victims of Bloody Sunday, and a quote from Patrick Pearse: “Beware of the thing that is coming”, from the poem ‘The Rebel’, which ends “And I say to my people’s masters: Beware,/Beware of the thing that is coming, beware of the risen people,/Who shall take what ye would not give.”

Gach vóta luachmhar…/Every single vote counts …” This is a generic electoral board encouraging voter registration (for Sınn Féın voters, at least) as there are elections scheduled until the local and European votes in May, 2014.

British And Proud

Loyalists on Sandy Row are not friends of Sinn Féin, the IRA, the PSNI, and all taigs. “We will always walk Ardoyne” is a reference to parading past the Ardoyne shops – the Parades’ Commission banned the march along that part of the route, and rioting took place (BBC).
