Sınn Féın representatives Paul Maskey (above), Gerry Adams, Alex Maskey, and Martin McGuinness are photoshopped into these coffee-themed, Irish-language puns outside the ‘Falls Rolls’ bakery: Ár tae will come, Tıocfaıgh [sic] ár látte, Al cappuchino, and Mocha-ra.
“On May 7th vótáıl Gearóıd Ó hEára. Leading positive change” – Sınn Féın electoral billboard for the 2015 UK elections, on the back of Free Derry Corner.
Ó hEára would go on to take second place, behind the SDLP’s Mark Durkan (WP).
“Sınn Féın protects paedophiles – ask Gerry”. The reference is perhaps to Brendan Curran’s allegations about the party covering up abuse by a Catholic priest (Indo) and the “ask Gerry” part a reference to Liam Adams’s 2013 conviction and the investigation into whether his brother, Gerry Adams, had withheld information about it (Guardian).
Three different campaigns for inquiries into deaths at the hands of British paratroopers are brought together into a single board on the site of the former Andersonstown RUC station (Visual History): the Ballymurphy Massacre of August, 1971, in which 11 were killed; the Springhill Massacre of July 1972, in which 5 were killed, and the killing of IRA volunteer Pearse Jordan, who, like the others, lived in the greater Ballymurphy area.
In a sermon on November 4th, 1956 (and repeated on other occasions), Martin Luther King, Jr. imagined a letter from Paul to the Christians of America, expressing concern for spiritual life in a capitalist society and appealing for desegregation of society using non-violent methods – “the weapon of love” – keeping in mind “that you are merely seeking justice for him as well as yourself”.

Here are two Sınn Féın boards on contemporary social issues, at the old Andersonstown RUC barracks. First is “Stand together against racism”; second is support for an Irish Language Act “Sınn Féın ag tacú le Lá Dearg Na Gaeılge, 12 Aıbreán – ag teacht le chéıle ag An Chultúrlann, Bóthar na bhFál, Béal Feırste, 2.00 in.”

Here is a gallery of anti-Agreement stencils and hand-painted boards in Newry. The primary concern is the treatment of prisoners in Maghaberry and elsewhere – “Republicans against internment”, “Stop the strip searches in Maghaberry”, “Smash Maghaberry”, “End British torture in Maghaberry”, “Restore political status” – followed by anger at Sınn Féın for its collusion with the organs of Westminster – “Sinn Féin – we deliver British rule” and “Provo puppets still administering British rule”.
