The Roll Of Honour (to the hunger strikers) we have seen before, in 2003 and 2004. New is the BRY (Bogside Republican Youth) mural to the right, claiming to date back to 1969, with the shield of Ulster on a Tricolour and fadas randomly distributed over “tıocfaıdh ár lá”.

IRA volunteer Pearse Jordan was shot by the RUC on November 25th, 1992, after the stolen car he was driving was rammed off the Falls Road. The European Court ruled that his death was in breach of the European Convention On Human Rights.

Billy McFadzean won the Victoria Cross for “conspicuous bravery” at the Somme on July 1st, 1916, when he threw himself on a box of grenades that had fallen into the trench, with two pins becoming dislodged. The emblems of the UVF, YCV, and (modern) RHC are added.
