“Republican prisoners are not criminals – bring back political status now. 1981-2006”. The illustration on the right of a prisoner behind bars dates back to the 1908s – see Remember The Prisoners. Killylea Road, Armagh. (A black-and-white version existed in Keady – see J2959.)

This vintage mural was in Kilcoo, Co Down. It seems that an Easter lily was paint-bombed and graffitied over with “IRA” and “saoırse” stencils.

“Wear a black shamrock against Irish involvement in war” – possibly a reference to Raytheon. The stencil is on an otherwise pristine Free Derry Corner.

The internet address no longer points to the Republican Socialist Youth Movement. Costello House is the Belfast headquarters of the IRSP.

A little bird in Lecky Road, Derry, sings a song of “Liberté, egalité, fraternité” while concealing the “réalité”. (A copy also appeared on one of the buttresses to FDC next to Toussaint L’Overture.)

“A revolutionary needs a revolutionary party. Join Ógra Shınn Féın.” A close paraphrase of Mao’s statement that “If there is to be a revolution, there must be a revolutionary party.”
