These UFF hooded gunmen are standing outside Long Kesh/Maze prison. The upper flag on the right-hand side of this mural – purple saltire on a blue background with star and red hand – is the proposed flag of Ulster nationalists. Castlemara Drive, Carrickfergus.

The memorial in the middle has now (compared to the original mural) been labelled (on a plinth) “In memory of 36th (Ulster) Division” but the names on the stone remain those of UVF volunteers John Bingham and Thomas Stewart.

The plaques are to (left) Davey Phillips, Patrick McEvoy, (top middle) John Bingham, (right) Thomas Stewart, Chin Taylor. The plaque in the middle is to “the officers and volunteers of of D Company 1st Battalion Ulster Volunteer Force”.

Collusion Is No Illusion

These two images from the March For Truth concern collusion (and plastic bullets). The large board in the first image (“Murdered by the British state”) gives a list of victims of and attacks (from 1974-1977) by the Glenanne Gang, which operated in Armagh and Tyrone with members from the UVF, RUC, and UDR (WP).

Bangor Ulster Young Militants

A UDA gunman welcomes you to the Kilcooley estate in Bangor. Ordinarily, the insignia of the Ulster Freedom Fighters would appear alongside those of the UDA and UYM, but in this mural, it is replaced by a map of the “home nations”; the Republic Of Ireland is presented in outline rather than by its flag.
