Whitehill, Bangor, mural commemorating Jim Johnston, Stephen Pollock, Thomas (“Kaneo”?) Kane of the Red Hand Commando. Johnston was shot in 2003 (Guardian); all three are presumably post-peace deaths associated with the Pride Of Whitehill flute band (Fb).

Frederick Hugh Crawford was a British Army officer in the Boer wars, Ulster Unionist councillor, and architect of the Larne gun-running in 1914. The dates on the mural are 1913-1916 (rather than the war years 1914-1918) – if you can explain this please comment or get in touch. The flute band does not appear to have an on-line presence.
Ballykeel is an estate in the southeastern part of Ballymena. The flute band was founded in 1982 (Fb). The mural is in the underpass between Ballykeel and Harryville.
The Cloughfern Young Conquerors (a UDA flute band) (Fb) was founded in 1973 in Rathfern – the same year as the UFF. Knockenagh Ave, Newtownabbey. Previously: Eddie The Head as CFY band-member.
The UVF flute band celebrates its 41st anniversary with a banner over Newtownards Road, Belfast. There was one in 2009 for the 40th. “They said we’d never last.”
