Here is the Ballymacash, Lisburn, bonfire for 2010, with “IRA” lettering and a crown of tyres. When this site was developed (in 2012), the bonfire site would later move slightly north, across Rathvarna Drive. The “No Taigs” graffiti is on Prince William Road, along the western edge of the estate.

“In memory of Brigadier John McMichael, murdered by the enemies of Ulster 22nd December 1987. Lest we forget. Quis separabit.” The quadrants of the Ulster Banner include the emblems of the UDA, UFF, LPA, and UDF. For McMichael’s death South Belfast UDA A Batt.
“In proud memory of Ray Smallwoods (murdered by the enemies of Ulster 11th July 1994). … Erected by officers and volunteers of Old Warren A Coy.” Smallwoods was killed by the IRA in the garden of his home in Donard Drive, Lisburn (WP).
The King Billy board is just out of shot to the left of the wide view.

“Carlsberg Don’t Do Bonfires, Ballykeel 2 does. See the big girl. Who’s the daddy.” Ballykeel estate was built in two phases, in 1962 and 1972, with distinctive types of housing that allow them to be easily distinguished (WP) and each has its own bonfire. Carlsberg lager had a popular advertising campaign on the theme of ‘Carlsberg don’t do Xs, but if we did, they would probably be the best Xs in the world.’ See previously in Belfast If Carlsberg Watched Bonfires. “In memory of Vol. Glenn Clarke murdered by the enemies of Ulster 7th Feb 1973.” The 18 year-old Clarke was shot by the IRA in Belfast’s New Lodge. He was from Beechland Drive in Lisburn. As can be seen in the image, there was previously a board (a hand-painted UFF fist in a garland) below.
