This is a 2004 image of the North’s longest-lasting mural. It was painted in 1981 (and seen previously in 1982) and survives to the present day without repair. The flags are flying from regular poles, before the custom took hold of painting flags on pikes in order to include the 1798 rebellion. The mural’s longevity, continuing to stand without being repaired, makes it the oldest original mural in the north.
